The foundation VILLUM FONDEN

www.villumfonden.dk

The foundation has the specific objective of presenting the Villum Kann Rasmussen Annual Award for Technical and Scientific Research. In addition, the foundation supports major scientific, artistic, cultural and social projects.

To mark the centenary of the birth of Villum Kann Rasmussen, VKR Holding made an endowment of DKK 750 million to increase the capital of the VILLUM FONDEN. At the same time, the VILLUM FONDEN’s statutes were amplified to incorporate environmental purposes. This reflects the aim of encouraging greater commitment to the environment and climate, which are among the greatest global challenges facing this generation and those to come.
